Season 16 debuts an all-new competition format built to create more opportunities, showcase more talent, and give rising comedians a real shot at advancing their careers. For the first time ever, comics will compete in three separate divisions—Host, Feature, and Headliner—allowing performers to battle against others at a similar stage in their comedy journey. The result? Fairer competition, stronger performances, and even more unpredictable nights of laughs.

Each showcase will feature comedians from all three divisions, but only one comic from each category will move on to the next round—and get paid for their set. Judges will also award wildcard spots throughout the season, keeping the competition wide open and adding surprise twists every step of the way. Beyond the contest itself, selected comedians will earn expanded opportunities to perform at Comix Roadhouse and partner venues across New England.
