HAITIAN COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER NORWICH proudly presents a special night of comedy, culture, and purpose at Comix Roadhouse, bringing the community together for an unforgettable fundraiser event. Dedicated to empowering youth, families, seniors, and individuals, the Center’s mission is rooted in education, training, cultural engagement, and compassionate support services for Connecticut’s growing Haitian-American population. This evening supports vital programs that strengthen access to resources, promote professional development, celebrate Haitian culture, and uplift families through integrity, excellence, and grace — all while delivering big laughs for an even bigger cause.
Headlining the night is SEJOE, affectionately known as the “Haitian Dave Chappelle,” a trailblazing Haitian-American comedian, writer, and cultural force. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Haiti during political upheaval, SEJOE transforms lived experience into fearless, thought-provoking comedy grounded in language, identity, and truth. In 2020, he made history with *Nou Chaje ak Pwoblèm*, the first-ever Haitian stand-up special, followed by the upcoming *Ayisyen Pale, Ayisyen Konprann* premiering Fall 2025. With over 50 million YouTube views, a viral global following, and appearances alongside Dave Chappelle, SEJOE is redefining Haitian storytelling through humor, heritage, and healing.
ELIZABETH BRUNOT is a multi-talented comedian, host, and content creator who has quickly made her mark in the entertainment world. Known for her quick wit, sharp humor, and engaging stage presence, she connects effortlessly with audiences both on stage and online. ELIZABETH has performed alongside major comedy stars including Michael Blackson and DeRay Davis, and her relatable social media content has earned her a loyal following.
